Chyela Rowe, PhD, RDT/BCT
Chyela Rowe, Ph.D, RDT/BCT (she/her) is the 2025-2027 President for the North American Drama Therapy Association. Her previous board service includes President-Elect (2024-2025), Education Chair (2023-2024), and member of the research committee since 2018. She has been an international member of BADth since 2022. Her professional work has spanned nearly three decades in settings such as schools, medical and mental health hospitals, neuro-rehab, arts communities, arts in health, research, leadership coaching, organizational consulting, and graduate research training. She is currently the Manager of Arts Therapies & Well-Being at CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital, Chattanooga, TN, US. Dr. Rowe's goal as a leader of the NADTA is to support economic stability, inclusive governance, and succession planning in service of sustainable organizational flourishing. This work is guided by the Board’s vision for the NADTA to foster professional growth and continued learning that honors the cultures, therapeutic skills, artistry, research, scholarship, and humanity of every member.
